About Ivory Garden Hosted Events:
First and foremost, Ivory Garden hosts fundraising events that pertain to their mission and goals as a corporation. All events ARE fundraisers. No presenters are paid for their services. These events are NOT 'entertainment', but educational. The largest events that we have hosted are listed here and have been 'conferences' - meaning that there were many different speakers held over an entire weekend within a large venue for the purpose of educating on trauma and dissociation. All events have been open to anyone interested in learning more about trauma and dissociation. All speakers are experts in the area of trauma and dissociation and able to present to a diverse audience of survivors, professionals, and supporters.
Ivory Garden, its associates, volunteers, and Board of Directors take on the responsibility of creating for each attendee a unique, enjoyable, and educational experience while at the same time, creating and remaining within a certain budget based on expected attendance, expenses, and donations. Being a small nonprofit organization, Ivory Garden's conferences have been a miraculous success. This is because of the hard work, experience, and education of folks from all walks of life. Unlike similar conferences, Ivory Garden hosts the conference 'for' one purpose only - to bring 'education' and 'awareness' about trauma and dissociation to and for anyone whom is interested in doing the same.
Ivory Garden not only hosts fundraisers for attendees, but also for other nonprofit groups whom have similar missions and goals. For instance, the 2015 Trauma and Dissociation Conference was hosted by Ivory Garden as a fundraiser 'for' TOPDD. How does this work? We do all of the planning, create the budget, promote the conference to those who support us - basically do everything. Whatever funds are left after event expenses are paid, goes back to the group for which the fundraiser was being held. So, in essence, it behooves them to promote the fundraising event to the folks who are interested in helping them move ahead by attending and donating what they can toward making the event a success. In this way, we are able to host events nationwide as well as helping other nonprofit organizations to hold their own conferences with our help, experience, and knowledge. Working together, we are able to bring the knowledge of trauma and dissociation to more people nationwide through fundraising events.
Though Ivory Garden does host smaller events, we aren't listing them here, but will add them to our calendar as they come up.
Please take the time to take a look at the events we have held. The next event will be the 2017 Trauma and Dissociation Conference - which we are just beginning to plan.
Thank you to all who have been supportive in our passion to bring education to more and more people.
